Looking for anyone who knew or has information regarding Bombardier John P Ellis of the 70th bomb squad. I am his grandson. He passed 20 years ago and while we were very close, during my youth he spoke of his experiences very rarely. I am trying to document as much of his experience as possible for my family. He is listed in the history of the 70th as serving on b-26# 41 17569 with Lieutenants Harold Miller, Conrad Ray, and Edward Brinskelle as well as Leo Savitski, Gillis Hanson, Ferrel Lawrence and Pvt Smith. It would also be incredibly helpful if anyone knew the wereabouts of Conrad (Connie) Ray's diary which is a main source for the history of the 70th. Lt. Ray would have served just feet from my grandfather and as such that diary could have entries which could prove priceless for my family. Thank you much for any help in advance.
