Yap Ialand had 80,000 by-passed Japanese soldiers and was a target for many strikes by the 13th and 5th Air Force

I'm interested in any information about missions to Yap Island. If you have any Yap related information, please send me an email at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . I'm currently searching for and documenting all the American losses on missions to Yap. You can view information and my research at http://www.missingaircrew.com/yap/yapmissions.asp.

My uncle was lost over Yap on June 25, 1944 in a B-24 with the 307th Bomb Group.

 Thanks,

-Pat
